General informations :
WoRD is hosted by the 3rd IEEE International Conference on Digital
Information Management (ICDIM'08). Topics of interest include all
areas of online laboratories for distance learning, especially but not
limited to the following list:
- Remote laboratories
- Virtual laboratories
- Hybrid laboratories
- Collaboratories
- Interoperability of information systems for the remote control of
devices
- Evaluation of learners within remote laboratory
- Mobile Learning and Online Laboratories
- Collaborative Remote Laboratories
- Metaphors of hands-on approaches in Distance Learning
- Diagnostic method in remote control of manufacturing systems
situations
- Model of deployment of large scale applications for the remote
control of devices
- Building of communities around remote control of devices
- Architectures & Use cases involving remote control of devices
- Security issues for the remote control of devices
- Learning Management Systems and Online laboratories,
- Learning Content Management Systems and Online laboratories
- Machine to Machine (M2M)
- New Ideas and Paradigms for the remote control of devices

Please note that :
- One author of the paper should register and present the paper in the
conference.
- The workshop papers are also eligible for the best paper award.
- The selected papers of the workshop after extension or modification
will be published in the journals specified in the home page of the www.icdim.org
and the International Journal of Online Engineering.

Submission Guidelines:
Papers must follow ICDIM'08 format guidelines provided at http://icdim.org/submission.php
All submitted papers will be judged based on their quality through
double-blind reviewing, where the identities of the authors are
withheld from the reviewers. Authors' names must not appear in the
paper or in the PostScript or PDF file.
Authors should submit their papers filling an OpenConf entry using the
openconf system provided at http://word.istase.fr/openconf/openconf.php
