Did this equipment ever get distributed?
I have the biased opinion that this hardware should be housed at a
facility like an ISP that can be a reliable hub in the pool

but I can see the point about giving it to those with less financial
resources.
A status update though would give me an idea of whether I should go
buy one or wait a while longer.
